It's summertime and you know what that means...time to travel! Let's be honest though, when doesn't the travel bug crawl up and bite me? While road trips are fantastic, there's no denying that certain trips are better suited for flying. My husband is the absolute best when we travel because he insists on doing all of the heavy lifting and keeping up with the suitcases, so when it's time for me to travel alone, I'm more mindful of what I pack as my carry on item. That's where the French Connection 16″ Underseat Carry‑On Luggage with USB‑C Ports comes into play. It's lightweight enough that I can lift it into the overhead bin by myself if I have a smaller bag with me that I plan on putting under my seat, but it's also small enough to fit under my seat.

I put this luggage piece to the test recently when I flew to North Carolina for a week. Literally 24 hours before the flight, I decided I didn't want to take a suitcase on the plane and try to juggle it into the overhead compartment on my own. I hopped on Amazon to see what could be delivered before I flew out the next day. My options were limited for the price point I wanted to stay within (under $75). After reading a bunch of reviews and looking at all the options, I decided to roll the dice on this one.

I took this carry on and a regular suitcase on the trip since I was gone about 7 days. I worked the whole time I was gone, so it was really important to find a carry on that had a spot for my laptop/mouse/portable monitor, etc. I filled the regular suitcase with way more clothes than I needed (which I always seem to do!) and then I used this to store all of my work items, skin care, toiletries and makeup. The combo was perfect for how long I was away. I love that the back of the suitcase has a band on it that slides over a suitcase handle. I was able to stack this one on top of my full sized suitcase and navigate the airport with no problem. Pulling this one on it's own was also a breeze. In addition to being able to access my portable charger (not included), it also has a water bottle pocket, which is also an important feature for me as I always fill up as soon as I get through security (I'm just a girl trying to balance staying hydrated when traveling with not being over hydrated enough that I have to use the bathroom 20 million times 🤣).

I've also used it for a Friday-Sunday road trip, and it was perfect! Beats taking a backpack or other type of bag that isn't on wheels. I was shocked that I was able to fit 2 outfits, 2 pj's, undergarments, and my toiletries/make up all in this little guy. I thought for sure I was pushing it but I had just enough space that it all worked out.

This spring, I decided to finally tackle the living room in my house. I've been in the house for 3 years now, and it's the one room that I haven't been able to decide what to do with.
