Tackling the TBR: I received an advance review copy for free of The Last of the Fire Witches by Chelsea Biddiscombe! Sharing with you my spoiler free review (spoiler free is so hard when there are so many things you enjoyed in a book and want to call out!) From the very first pages, the premise of the story is compelling. Aurie is the last of her kind, forced to hide her identity in a world that would like to see her destroyed. I like the use of legacy and survival and right from the jump, it's there for the reader to experience and learn about. The world building is pretty solidly done by Biddiscombe. I liked the covens, kingdoms and the explanation and exploration of magic throughout the series. The characters themselves were compelling and easy to identify who I was going to love, who I was going to hate and who I was going to feel just "meh" about.
